What We Do
As a software analyst, you will take part in reviews of codes and provide your expertise on a technical level. You will also look at and change existing software systems using programming language. Any programs that are implemented to reach the goals of the business have to be tested and implemented by you, making sure that people can use them. Finally, you will document the current infrastructure, make suggestions for improvements and focus on software requirements.
Work Environment
As a software analyst, it is likely that you will work in office from 9 to 5. However, you are the first point of contact for development firms and customers alike, which means that you may have to travel to reach these contacts.
How to Become
Software analysts are problem solvers and excellent communicators. They know all there is to know about the IT sector, which means they have to frequently update their skills through training.
Training & Certification Requirements
You will need a bachelor’s degree in a field such as IT, computer science or business administration to hold this position. Additionally, a number of years’ work experience will also be required.
