What We Do

As a management consultant, you will be responsible for training people in processes essential to business development. This can include such things as researching possible design options and providing systems analysis and modeling. You will also be responsible for identifying, developing, recommending and eventually implementing improvements within the business you work for.

Management consultants generally work in an office. They can either be employed within a company, or offer their services on a freelance basis.

How to Become

To become a management consultant, it is important to have both education and experience, as these are what potential employers will look for.

Training & Certification Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is the absolute minimum, although a master’s is now often required. This should be in a field like business administration. Furthermore, project management professional certification is also recommended, including several years of work experience in the field of management.
