What We Do
As a marketing analyst, you will be responsible for making sales forecasts, finding opportunities for new initiatives, and recommending certain actions. You will do this through strategies and metrics that you will test to demonstrate they can improve performance. Additionally, you will analyze the market, trends and the business through customer profiling, statistics and more. Finally, you will work together with other departments in order to compile and present reports.
Work Environment
Marketing analysts spend a lot of time on their feet in order to conduct research. As such, their working hours can be quite erratic and travel is often required.
How to Become
Marketing analysts have a strong background on reporting software and business intelligence. Furthermore, they must be good in interacting with other people, as they have to be able to build good relationships with everyone from the consumer to the CEO. They must also be strong communicators, both oral and written.
Training & Certification Requirements
A bachelor’s degree is a minimum requirement for this job, preferably in a field such as marketing or business.
