What We Do

As a product analyst, you will be responsible for the creation, updating and maintenance of product information, as you are an internal and external expert on the product. You will also develop test sessions and survey the market, with which you will inform the product development department. You will work together with clients and product managers alike in order to identify new product requirements and you will make recommendations about this based on solid data.

Work Environment

As a product analyst, you will mainly work in an office, together with other professionals who focus on finance, product development and marketing. You may also spend time in the field, observing a product in use and performing field tests. Some unsocial hours may be required.

How to Become

To become a product analyst, you will need a relevant bachelor’s degree. In very rare occasions, people who don’t have such a degree will grow to the position through promotions. They do have to show a very good ability to think strategically and laterally, however.

A bachelor’s degree in a field such as marketing is required.
