The Graduate Management Admission Test, or GMAT, is a standardized test that most business schools and MBA programs require as it measures a person’s academic ability. GMAT scores are important for those looking to be accepted into a competitive school. The GMAT consists of four different sections including integrated reasoning, verbal, analytical writing assessment, and quantitative. GMAT scores consist of several numbers that cover performance on each section of the test. The numbers are then used to determine a composite, or overall GMAT score. Overall scores range from two hundred to eight hundred in ten point increments. Preparing for the GMAT is an important part of getting a good score.
