What We Do

As a real estate analyst, you will be responsible for the coordination of service level agreements and budgets with property managers. You will look into public records and legal documents to find out what a title’s status is and make sure due diligence is performed. You will also manage the financial performance of your portfolio, which includes acquisition strategies and cash flow. Finally, you will negotiate and underwrite real estate transactions such as leases, dispositions and purchases.

Work Environment

While most real estate analysts do have an office, they are often found outside in different properties. Some unsocial hours may be required.

How to Become

Becoming a real estate analyst is mainly about gaining a relevant bachelor’s degree, followed by significant work experience.

Training & Certification Requirements

To become employed as a real estate analyst, you will first have to obtain a bachelor’s degree in a field like business administration or finance. If you want a more senior position, then you will need to have work experience in this field for at least three years.
